When you need to display images in your articles you can do one of the following:

  • use images from another web site;
  • upload images to sharparena and use these uploads.

How to upload an image

In the submission form, under the editing area there is a button called Image. When you press that button, a new window pops up.

The Directory combo shows the available folder that can contain images for articles. You canupload images to one of these folders.

Use the Browse button to select an image from your local disk and then Start Upload to upload the image. After uploading you get a message, "Upload complete".

How to insert images in your article

You have the following options:

  • use the Image button below the editing area (the same used for uploading images); navigate to the images you want to upload, select it and then press Insert. You can alos insert an image from an URL using the Image URL field.
  • use the Insert/edit image button on the toolbar of the editing area. Use the Image URL field to provide the URL. If it is an image you uploaded earlier, then use the relative path starting with /images/stories/ and then the directory where you uploaded. You can see an example in the image below (if an images was uploaded to the folder articles/csharp, then URL should be /images/stories/articles/csharp/ followed by the name of the file).

Notice that the paths are case sensitive!
